Start Your Week with a Spiritual Song in Your Heart

Knowing What God Will Say.

2-1-21

When you “accept” Jesus – and His invitation; when You believe He is the Son of God; that He died to take the punishment for your sins upon Himself; that God raised Him from the dead

What brought you to that moment?

Were you guilty beforehand? Regretful? Remorseful? Curious? Troubled? Desperate? Lonely? Confused? Hungry? Unforgiving? Weary?

At that moment, God never says

“It’s about time!”

“It took you too long!”

“OK, it’s a good start.”

“Let’s see if you are serious…”

“You have too much baggage.”

“I can’t overlook some of your sins.”

“Here are things you must now do…”

“You’re too late!”

He just says

“Welcome home!”

In a time of too many rules, too many mandates, what a great reminder that God has his arms wide open…no rules to follow, just walk into His love. The video with the music was amazing and has a very calming effect. Thank you!!!

  2. Simple and true. Thank you for sharing. This was one of my favorite songs when I was a youngster.

  3. Before “Just As I Am” became Bill Graham’s invitation hymn, “Softly and tenderly, Jesus Is Calling” was the common invitation hymn especially of the mighty crusades of evangelist Dwight L Moody. There is a story that the composer was at the deathbed of Moody, who looked up and said, “I would trade everything I have done to have been able to write that wonderful song.”

And this is true every day of the believer’ life. God does/ doesn’t say these things when his children come to him.

    Praise!
